Vegetable Tawa Sandwich Recipe:- Today i am sharing simple and easy recipe of Veg tawa sandwich. This veg sandwich is so delicious, sort of healthy. You just need a handful of ingredients. Veg tawa sandwich is a stuffing of potato, onions and tomatoes perked up with spice powders and cooked on tawa with ghee. This veg sandwich recipe is made without a grill, toaster or oven. It is just made on a pan or tawa. You can serve this sandwich with tomato ketchup, green chutney or any dip you want.
Ingredients we need:-
Bread slices- 8
Ghee/butter/oil- as per requirement ( i prefer to use ghee, you can cook it with butter or oil as well.)
Potatoes- 2 boiled and mashed
Onion - 1/2 cup finely chopped
Tomatos- 1/2 cup finely chopped
Green Chilli- 2 finely chopped
Coriander(Dhania)- 2 tsp finely chopped
Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
Cumin seed powder( jeera powder)- 1/2 tsp
Chat masala powder: 1/2 tsp
Salt- to taste
Tomato ketchup
Method:-
1. Take a bowl and add mashed potatoes, chopped onions, tomato, green chilli, coriander and all the spices red chilli powder, cumin powder, chat masala, salt. mix all the ingredients well. Stuffing is ready.
2. Take 2 bread slices and spread tomato sauce on one side of each bread. Now place a stuffing on it and spread it evenly. Sandwiched it using other bread slice.
3. Heat a tawa/ pan put some ghee on it and place the sandwich on it. Cook on a medium flame till it turns golden brown in colour from the both sides. Sprinkle some chat masala on it (this is an optional, you can skip it if you don't like it.)
4. Serve it with tomato sauce or green chutney.
